Institute of Russian culture

The Institute of Russian Language and Culture is a cultural institution established in Rome in 1991, which continues the tradition started in 1946 by the Italy-Russia, which is at the center of its activities knowledge of the Russian language and culture through courses in Russian for Italians, study visits and cultural tours in the most important city of the Russian Federation and some CIS countries. 
 
The Institute is a center of excellence for the teaching of the Russian language, which counts among its students diplomats, journalists, professionals, business executives, who have established themselves in respective disciplines and have contributed effectively to development of cultural cooperation, artistic, economic and technical and scientific cooperation between our countries. 
 
The Institute promotes the study of Russian speakers and for organizes conferences, exhibitions, film screenings, debates, book presentations and meetings with representatives of culture and
professions. In carrying out these activities relies on the collaboration of public and private Russian, Italian and other countries, and experience accumulated in the Task Force, Ministry of Commerce Abroad Programs for Tacis / Phare to Russia and the countries of the post-Soviet Eastern Europe. 
 
Due to the nature of its activities, the Institute is in permanent contact with the embassies and consulates of the Russian Federation and the new sovereign nations, which for more than 20 years participating in various forms to Commonwealth of Independent States. 
 
The Director of the Institute of Russian Language and Culture is prof. Carlo Fredduzzi, specialized in Slavic Philology at the University of Leningrad, journalist and author.
